Dear Living Journal
Hereās a thing to think about.
How do you start each day? I DONāT mean:
Are you part of the 5am club?
Do you down a shot of wheatgrass juice and do 50 one-handed press-ups, followed by a round of hot yoga?
Do you spend an hour journaling, meditating and connecting with your chakras?
No shade if you do⦠but many of us canāt imagine having the get up and go (or the time and energy!) to get up and go at it quite so keenly!
What Iām getting at, is where are your thoughts first thing in the morning?
Because theyāre the one thing we truly CAN take control of, whatever lifeās throwing our way, right?
Generally, what lifeās throwing my way is my 5 year oldās bowl of Weetabix, endless demands for his favourite smoothies, and the infamous āMum, I need the toilet!/lost my favourite toyā 2 minutes before weāre due to leave for school...
Hot yoga? Fat chance.
And I do so love my sleep (Iām hideous without my full quote) - so 5am starts are absolutely out of the question.
There is, however, one thing I always do before I start my day - and thatās to get my mind in the right place with a few simple questions.
So, this week I thought Iād share one of my most powerful question sequences with you.
And itās this:
šļøāØ Which version of me do I really want to show up as today?
šļøāØ What would I do differently if I were fully showing up as THAT version of me?
šļøāØ And is there anything I can do, now, that will help me get there?
It can help you take your head out of all those nagging āto doās⦠and get it in to doing the things that really will support you and your growth (even if that sometimes means taking the occasional nap or walk, rather than ploughing on!)
Iād love you to take this into your week ahead, use it, and let me know what it brings for you.
It can make ALL the difference - whatever else your day brings your way.
Enjoy!
A x
